th 8 Oct 2020	Police are appealing for information following a dog incident. On Saturday 19 September, the victim was walking his dog along the public footpath over the golf course when his dog was attacked by another dog, described as a light grey lurcher or greyhound type dog, which was off the lead. The dogs were separated following an intervention, and neither dog was injured in the incident. The other dog owner reportedly threatened the victim after he was asked to put his dog on a lead. Police would like to speak to the dog owner, who is described as a white man in his 70s or 80s, with thinning grey hair. He was wearing a green quilted gilet jacket, jeans and carried a varnished walking stick. Anyone with any information about this incident or who may be able to assist is asked to contact the Police quoting reference number 37/54720/20.

mo 2 Apr 2018	This Sunday it's the queen of the classics the 115th edition of Paris-Roubaix. The bike race is characterised by sections of evil cobbles, we've driven over some and they are nasty. Known as The Hell of the North not for the cobbles but because of the destruction the race past through after the first world war. Recently there's been 12 years of dry dustiness so perhaps a wet muddy one is due. If you want to ride the 75 mile Southwold Roubaix Sunday you need to get your entry in by Thursday.

In Fressingfield Sunday Roughcast Theatre were rehearsing a Christmas Carol with an impressive Marley's ghost and a live choir. The show goes on the road next month with visits to Huntingfield, Stowmarket, Hoxne, Southwold and Wingfield.

tu 2 Dec 2014	Saturday we went to Halesworth to see Daddy Christmas arrive but had time to visit Hippy Jo in her shop of two years now. Daddy C arrived by the simple process of walking out of the library and then processing along the Thoroughfare led by the very excellent Southwold and Reydon Drum Corp which as well as festive lighting had some real tinys. Before all that there was a great moment when the two mascots spotted each other and embraced.

His Village Grocer van takes a week to visit villages between Felixstowe and Southwold and then starts again. Despite the chilling and insistent rain yesterday he was parked up on that corner in Walpole where there used to be a pub and his fruit and veg looked in good shape.
