we 16 Nov 2016 | Around near the coast theatre companies are putting their Christmas shows together. In Fressingfield Sunday Roughcast Theatre were rehearsing a Christmas Carol with an impressive Marley's ghost and a live choir. The show goes on the road next month with visits to Huntingfield, Stowmarket, Hoxne, Southwold and Wingfield.

we 24 Dec 2014 | When we visited Hoxne three Christmases back to see Vix and the Kicks (she does make the effort) we were impressed by the public festive lights and if anything they're better this year and a couple of villages away the hanging baskets at St Mary's Wilby are still being tended and have gained seasonal decorations.

sa 15 Nov 2014 | Stradbroke launched it's village archive today with multiple computers in the Courthouse, cake, sausage rolls, a very decent cup of tea and much interest. So far there are some 800 items of the 6,000 already digitised on www.stradbrokearchive.org.uk and browsing we discovered there was a workhouse in Hoxne?!

 | 9:30am-1:00pm on the second Saturday of the month go past the Hoxne Swan on your right, turn left then over the little bridge and on the right in the village hall it'll be the Artisan Market ... a regular stream of visitors and such a delicious smell of freshly cooked bacon from the cafe if they attached it to the market's posters it'd be the busiest market in Suffolk.

Asalways quirky, original and highly entertaining we were particularly pleased to see a ukulele move from the pit to centre stage. Mouth to Mouth's garden tour continues this coming weekend at Hoxne, Framlingham, Orford and Laxfield. |
su 11 Dec 2011 | Vix is a very hard working lady but the Kicks keep up with her and together at the Pre-Crimbo Bash last night in Hoxne (a Suffolk village that still has a pub and a shop) they were achieving that hardest of tasks getting people to dance. We left before the midnight finish because we didn't want the village's attractive Christmas lights to go off before we could snap them.
