Brundish village fete on the green was a triumph with a mercy dash needed for more burgers, the bar almost drunk dry, socialising with a passing ambulance crew and the rain holding off until near the end.

Brundish Christmas Fair 2021As we approached Brundish village hall Saturday forChristmas? Bah Humbug! the return of the Christmas Fair we could tell from the multiple happily chatting voices it was being a success.  Inside a tiny boy was too intimidated by Santa's strangeness to put his hand in Santa's sack but let Sandra take a present for him and our complimentary homemade mince pie we suspect will be the best of the season.

Brundish Christmas FairChristmas doesn't start until you've been to the Brundish Christmas Fair and we went to this convivial and charmingly intimate event this afternoon.  Daddy Christmas made a brief visit (he is rather busy this time of year) to hand out sweets and your entrance fee enjoyably includes Tea - the cup that cheers but does not inebriate and a mince pie.  Next Brundish event is a candlelit service tomorrow week with the Chantry Singers.

St Lawrence's Brundish Pets ServiceWe were caught out at St Lawrence's Brundish yesterday as we expected the Pets Service to be in the church.  In the event it was outside in the idyllic setting and though our appearance around a corner prompted disruptive barking no one took offence.  The pets were all dogs apart from a Macedonian tortoise who probably won't be affected by Brexit.
