The second Snape Farmer's Market this month is tomorrow and again outside.  Opportunities include local gin and boutique wine, handmade preserves and baking.

A 25 year old Stradbroke man has been charged with the multiple lawnmower burglary in Snape and it was four lawnmowers not seven.

Seven, yes seven lawnmowers stolen in Snape.

Not surprisingly the Snape Maltings has cancelled the Aldeburgh Festival but is understandably holding off on a decision about the proms in August.  No word we've seen about next month's Alde Valley Spring Festival in Great Glemham.

Aldeburgh Cinema has closed for the duration so we won't get to see Emma this afternoon but the Woodbridge Riverside seems to be partially functioning.  The Red Rooster festival near Thetford has been postponed to September and Life Arts have postponed April's Woodbridge festival to next year.  All Snape Maltings music events cancelled until the end of April (we were lucky), the Phoenix Singers concert in Framlingham next month cancelled as is the Campsea Ashe Spring Fayre this Saturday and still only three virus cases in Suffolk.

After decades listening to the recorded trio from Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte heard it live at the Snape Maltings last night.  It prompted a closing of the eyes and an impromptu sigh.  Fell in l♥ve with mezzo Martha Jones for her singing, acting and very 1930s baggy trousers ... still a few seats for tonight.
