We've only just noticed that the Campsea Ashe village shop closed back in September but is aspiring to re-open under new management. We see no mention of post office on the shop frontage and wonder if like Hacheston's shop in 2008 the sub-post office had been lost?

The Hacheston flower festival runs today and tomorrow, Culture of the Countryside starts today at the Wingfield Barns (Daisy Cooper's mum is showing there next month) and it's the FESPA summer fete in Walberswick tomorrow which we much enjoyed last year.

Those exquisite classic cars pulled up by Hacheston village hall Saturday were members of the Riley Register gathered to attend the memorial service for local man and Riley enthusiast Gerald Dick who died in January at the age of 72.
