fr 20 Sep 2024	Officers were called late Monday afternoon to a crash on the B1119 Saxmundham Road *Leiston* involving a white Fiat 500, black BMW 114i and a red Mercedes lorry. Both car drivers and a passenger were taken to hospital with the Fiat driver sustaining a serious leg injury. The road remained closed until 9.50pm. we 16 Jan 2019	2019 is the centenary year of Aldeburgh Cinema (Leiston pre-dates them by five years) and they will be marking it with their first Cinema on the Beach. We've been told that Aldeburgh folk would dress up for the cinema and be greeted in the foyer by the manager wearing evening dress, a floral buttonhole and smoking a cigar ... these days celebrities don't feel the need for a tie:)
