Brandeston Fete Sat 23 June 2018

Post by des fisher » Thu Jul 05, 2018 10:40 am

On a glorious summer’s afternoon in Brandeston, our fete raised £5241.74 comprising £4936 from the fete and £305 from the Village Feast thanks to The Queen. The money will be split equally between the village hall and All Saints.

There were 26 stalls at the fete and around 80 people helped in some way or other by running the stalls, erecting and dismantling the marquees, providing trailers, moving equipment, compering, taking photos and generally tidying up afterwards. On top of this we had the team from the Queen and help from the school. Altogether it was a big community effort involving the village hall, the church, the pub, the school and the people of Brandeston.

Taking into account the Open Gardens and Kettleburgh Fete on 9 June, the two villages have raised over £10,000 in two weeks - quite amazing for two small, rural communities.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this year's fete in whatever way you contributed.
