Wednesday morning it took me an hour or so to realise that this report http://www.eadt.co.uk/news/railway-trag ... d-1-961077 of a man killed by a train Saturday night was Fish, he was so universally known as Fish. ... I find myself mentally filing subjects to discuss with him later and then remembering I can't.

When this bulletin board started up in another place Fish did mountains of work managing malicious board registrations and we shall keep his admin account as a tribute to his memory. He is a very great loss.

There are many appreciations of him on the Framlingham Market Facebook page

What a shock. I read the EADT on line and the report about the incident - his name didn't ring any bells, so I presumed he was someone I didn't know.

H & I have never met Fish in person, but exchanged banter on the forum. He always came across as a slightly eccentric, but hugely intelligent and fun man.

How sad that he felt he had to end his life. We hope that he's now at peace.

A Celebration Of Tony 'Fish/Damini/Priya/Lobster' Jenkins' Life
Time: 02 August ยท 14:00 - 17:00
Location: Seven Hills Crematorium, Nacton, Ipswich

The service will commence at 14.15

This will be a humanist celebration of Tony's life.

Tony's Mum has asked that you spread the details of this far and wide; she wants as many people to attend as possible.

We are to wear purple. Gorgeous Shoes are optional. Bassoons, Lobsters, Alpacas etc probably won't fit in the building, so we ask that they are left at home.

A bat box marked Tony "Fish" Jenkins 1972-2011 should by now be in the woods at the Seven Hills crematorium. (Thanks Gwen)

Just to be picky and before memory fades (I'm quite prepared to be corrected) the service was slightly different from the printed order; the Bonzos were played before the appreciations and the poem read by David Mitchell was not Robyn Raneman's Miss Me, But Let Me Go but

Sometimes

Sometimes things don't go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel
faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don't fail,
sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well.

A people sometimes step back from war;
elect an honest man; decide they care
enough, that they can't leave some stranger poor.
Some men become what they were born for.

Sometimes our best efforts do not go
amiss; sometimes we do as we meant to.
The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow
that seemed hard frozen: may it happen to you

~ Sheenagh Pugh ~

I was particularly struck at the service by A people sometimes step back from war; elect an honest man;

But oddly comforting that though his judgement must have been blurred it wasn't by drink or drugs.
