Re: Fish 1972-2011

What a shock. I read the EADT on line and the report about the incident - his name didn't ring any bells, so I presumed he was someone I didn't know. H & I have never met Fish in person, but exchanged banter on the forum. He always came across as a slightly eccentric, but hugely intelligent and fun ...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

I think that your timing was spot-on Mr.B. A perfect reason/excuse not to come, and the girls fully understood your non-arrival. The fact that they'd spent hours polishing and tightening up the bongos didn't seem bother them. Oh, and they said not to worry - timing wasn't that important... We...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

Oh dear, oh dear... Got your timing wrong AB. You're either circling in a plane over the hijacked airport rapidly running out of fuel, or you're at least 400 miles away landing at another airport. Can you play the bongos? I guess a drummer is a drummer - dustbin lids, saucepans, etc. The only reason...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

I did a 'Cross-Cultural Communication' class today and took them for a visit around the UK. The photo of AB smiling with his fish and chips and beer appeared on the large screen for all to see. I heard little whisperings of 'Law maak' (which means 'handsome' in Thai). I obviously had to stop any ide...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

Had a fun moment today - I'll get back to that later. OK, I teach 18/19 year-old Thai students. They listen to a lot of music, and, as we know, a lot of classic songs are being re-recorded by present day 'popular' artists. I played the original 'I'm a Believer' the other day and they all recognised ...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

Just a bit of an update on the Asian Outlaws - they're not really into forums, but here's a bit of gossip... Bua (photos just above) has decided that men are not really her scene and has found a new playmate. We love her dearly, but she's a bit of a 'wild child' and she's found new interests... Beau...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

In Bangkok at a party called 'Quintessentially'. According to Bua's short e.mail Riverman Promotions provided one of their artists for the party (they seem to have a connection with Bryan Ferry, but I don't think it was him). Apparently 300 of the richest in Thailand were there. They look a bit of a...

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

Here she is:

And here she is again with some 'music promotion people'.

She scrubs up quite well when she has to put on the glam bit. :D

I think the bloke on the far right is her boss.

Re: The Asian Outlaws are back...

Hello peeps, Don't want this thread to disappear into the the depths of cyberspace, never to be seen again, because there are some pretty (and possibly useful) lasses on here. Anyway, Bua (her with the bananas, and magically transported to the Market Hill) came to stay with us the other weekend. She...

Thanks Des,

Ahh, the miracles of modern technology. (That still baffle me!)

SM: Just let us know the date and we'll tune in.

Sweet (as they would say in Aus). :) I read the Evening Star on line (sad, I know, but can't quite get my hands on a copy of it here) - but it'll be interesting to see if it's on their website. Certainly can't pick up Radio Suffolk - have enough problems getting a mobile phone signal... Well done la...

Thank you G. - you won't tell, will you? I've just had a brilliant idea! We have a new course next term called 'English Through Media' or something like that. One of the categories is songs. Yeah, we can play some CDs and have a bit of fun - but what about having a real, live, all singing and dancin...

Long time, no speak on this particular thread, but I didn't want the beautiful girls' pics to disappear into cyber-space. Am I allowed to bump this up? Said girls - aka Asian Outlaws - will have Henry teaching them next term. As we haven't seen them for a while I think that one of their term papers ...

Where's AB gone?

Where has Mr. B'Stard disappeared to - haven't heard from him in a while, and we always enjoy his witty comments.

He vanished about the same time as MC. Is there some connection there? Have they eloped to some tropical island?

Do tell us more...

I know it's crass, but I couldn't help, after reading FG's post;

It's 24 hours to Tulsa. Ah..only one day away from your arms"

Gene Pitney forgot to mention the gardener (got the name of the town wrong too).

Looks like everybody had fun (and it didn't rain on the smokers).
