1917   The USA bought the Virgin Islands from Denmark for $25,000,000

They may be everywhere but this is the first phone box we've seen like this.  It's in The Street, Parham and we can't help but wonder if this is a BT ploy so they can "recover" the box as nobody uses it?  (BT don't remove phone boxes they "recover" them.)
