Officers are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a convenience store in Aldeburgh.

The incident took place this morning, Tuesday 10 January, around 3:30am at a shop on the High Street.

Offenders broke in via the front of the premises and a large quantity of cigarettes and some alcohol were stolen. It is believed that three male suspects were involved in the incident, and are thought to have made off in a small blue car, using false plates, in the Leiston direction.

The first male is described as wearing a grey raincoat with black shoulder panels, light grey trousers, black footwear and black gloves. He covered the lower half of his face.

The second is described as wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a black top and black gloves; the third as wearing all black clothing, with a white stripe down the side of his bottoms.

Anybody who witnessed anything suspicious or has any information relating to the identity of the men are asked to call Suffolk Constabulary by dialing 101 and quoting crime number 11499/17. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their anonymous online form at
