I ain't there for the politics - I'm there to be ogled at by the 10000 folk that they get through the gates !!

And I am employed - not an employer myself, strictly speaking.

Traditionally it was organized by the local TUC, but like Glastonbury, the politics has diminished over the years to the point you'll hardly notice it if you go.

Was Glastonbury political to start with then?

Amanda, in the 80s it was a CND festival, and until recently it's always been associated with the hippy/green/new age/"alternative" movement[s].

Oh yes, of course, I actually went to Glastonbury in the 80s the year when Boomtown Rats were headlining! How could I forget the stage with the great big CND logo at the front of it! Thanks for reminding me.

It's not about the music then? Is it just about you?
Isn't that just the tiniest bit pretentious?

Thought you might have understood the history of the gig before you just signed up for it

Its 'Versatility' tonight. Two old guys wearing stetsons and playing to backing tracks.

I think I have a nice bottle of Wine cooling in the fridge at home -so might have a quiet night in with Mrs Ginge actually. Sorry, but I just can't stick bands that play to backing tracks.

Outlaws are there 19th May (until Rusty's switched things)

Hello, I'm jet lagged and back.

Which White Horse? I always think of the Fram one 1st, but I thing FG is talking about Easton.

Either it's neither!
