The FESPA Theatre Fete in Walberswick was essentially a very traditional occasion.  The high spot for us was the Lowestoft Signing Choir, a mixed group of hearing and deaf people who together sing and sign.  Yesterday they performed an Abba medley and the sign for Mama Mia is a cracker.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 55 year old man found after being assaulted in Lowestoft Wednesday night.

A third man has now been arrested.

Near Lowestoft the 1st Corton Brownies have been learning about reducing crime.  Local PCSO Sue Kershaw visited the Brownie guide group to talk

about theft and its consequences, not talking to strangers, etc.  Under the guidance of Snowy Owl Martha Canham the Brownies were encouraged to draw pictures raising awareness of crime reduction measures and all were presented with their Crime Prevention badge.

A 27 year old motorcyclist died in a three vehicle collision in Gisleham near Lowestoft this morning.

The Environment Agency has issued a Severe Flood Warning for the coast Lowestoft to Shingle Street including Aldeburgh.  The tv news is saying the risk is high tide tomorrow morning.

Five men are in custody after this optimistic con in Lowestoft.  A punter is shown a suitcase full of money except the notes are all black because they've been "smuggled into the country".  A demonstration is given showing how a cleaning solution returns some of the notes to useable condition and then our billy (billy bunter ~ punter) is asked to part with cash in exchange for the black notes and the solution!  Aw bless.
