Winners of last night's Framlingham White Horse Music Quiz were Rave On (didn't they win it last time?) who donated their winnings to the First Responders and the pub rounded it up to £50.  Sailing a means of transport?  Yeah, right.

Ride on lawnmower stolen in Dennington, smashed noticeboard glass in Benhall and a stolen tax disc in Framlingham.

Man in the Hat's music quiz is back at the White Horse this Thursday ... bet one of the answers will be Susan Boyle.

Aspiring Framlingham writer Ann Elliott was in the top five of 1500 entries to ITV This Morning's Short Story Competition and appeared on the prog last Thursday.  We all agreed we didn't mind who won, the achievement was getting into the top five, not so much for being on tv but for what it does for your writing cv.

Long time bar manager at the Framlingham Station and more recently manager of the Crown Hotel Gareth Clelland will be joining ex-Station chef Phil next week at the Wright Brother's Oyster Bar in a large town near Chelmsford.  We ate there last year at a birthday party and encouragingly porter beer is served.  more large town here

Fram 1st responder Anna Lee was untypically called out three times yesterday, the shouts might be described as ill timed.

Despite bell ringing practice up the road, a barking dog and foot pipes that went on their holidays and then came back again Suzanne Williams (soprano), Margaret Westlake (recorder) and Malcolm Russell (organ) gave a very fitting concert last night to the memory of the late Mr Handel in a filled and appreciative Framlingham Unitarian Meeting House.

Man in the Hat spends a day (actually a very long day) on an ambulance.

There was some lovely food being cooked by Aga/Rayburn demonstrator Mandy Gooden on the Rayburn in The Kitchen Range, Framlingham yesterday ... and young chefs were getting involved too.  There's a vid on the way.

Interesting stuff happening at the Framlingham Crown tomorrow night; the excellent Mouth to Mouth Theatre will be presenting a selection of shorter Noel Coward pieces put together as Coward Curiosities.  We very much hope to be there to do some snapping.

Promising source of ill feeling in the agenda for this Thursday's Framlingham town council, under correspondence the vice-chair of the Mills Charity (they who sit on 6.5 million quid and reportedly like to keep their agms secret) has asked the tc to reconsider the tc's appointment of newly co-opted councillor Nick Corke to the charity.  Nick would replace ex-town councillor Martin Kellaway who seems to be the charity chairman ...
