Saints, sinners and in between welcome at an open house try out Monday week in Framlingham for a gospel choir forming for festive performance during December.

Nice to see that like the Woodbridge SNT who have held surgeries in Costa Coffee the Framlingham law enforcement community will be using the Bridge Street Café for their surgeries.  A relaxed atmosphere and a bit of community engagement with that bit of the community who aren't on committees must help.  (See what we did there?  Got community in three times.)  If privacy is needed there's a room available upstairs.

Sarah Cole served her apprenticeship at the Jewellery Workshop, Diss and has a City & Guilds in diamond mounting.  In 1989 she set up her jewellery shop in the slightly hidden Old Mews in Framlingham.  Her stock includes jewellery often individual in style, watches, watch repairs, watch batteries and straps fitted for you ... but her real specialities are repairs and commissions in gold, silver and platinum executed in her shop.

Quite a musos's day near the coast yesterday; we didn't make it to Benhall music day because Le Tour was just too exciting but in the evening Anna Noakes and Gabriella Dall'Olio at Rendham Church (which has a very pleasant just reverberant enough acoustic) sounded and looked just brilliant.  (The harp is such an ethereal instrument even when you can see it being played the sound seems to be appearing from out of the ether.)  You can see Anna and Gabriella again next month at the Yoxford Arts Festival.  More pix here.

Later the ultimately hardworking Mood Swings at the Framlingham Station beer festival.  Their line up has changed slightly since last year and they seem more confident.  On the final, final number your man on the keyboard's solo messed with the time and everyone still knew where four was ... just:)  They're playing again today.  More pix here.

Over the past three years we've noticed two things about Mouth to Mouth theatre; they're always dressed imaginatively so they look good and they're brilliant at hacking solutions to disasters.  Last night's garden production in Framlingham of an all girl Taming of the Shrew was no exception; looked great and Jo Kindred as Petruchio had lost her voice so she mimed it!  Great stuff leading to unintended jokes in the text Why so quiet Petrucchio?  Half time entertainment from a fire eater and a poignant moment when sneaking round the back we found a dead shrew in the grass.  More pix here.
