des' dinners is in fact a lunch sort of club but that doesn't alliterate.  It started in April 2000 and is now bi-monthly.  How it works is des says where he's having lunch and if other people want to join him that's fine.  So far he's lunched on his own three times and not turned up just once though the lunch happened anyway but at the wrong venue!

Lunchers do tend to be beer drinkers and we prefer free houses.
