Suffolk Singers charity concert in Debenham♫ A fine concert last night from the Suffolk Singers in the Debenham Leisure Centre.  The choir has a healthy number of male voices giving the sound weight and some of the arrangements were an entertainment in themselves.  The show along with cake sale and raffle raised funds for Age UK.

The Barber of Seville at Crow's Hall Saturday night we picked our way through the flooded roads to Crow's Hall Debenham for a black tie concert performance of The Barber of Seville and how glad we are we did.  Crow's Hall is exquisite and the singers of London Festival Opera were joyful plus occasional gigantic overhead thunderclaps gave opportunity for impromptu humour from the stage.

Mr and Mrs Hugh Creighton have lived in Lacey Cottage on that nasty corner inMr and Mrs Hugh Creighton and daughters Earl Soham for 26 years.  Hugh has been and then not been a parish councilor.  They have raised three daughters, seen the Falcon, Thorolds the corner shop and the post office (after over a century) close, Tastebuds open become Eat Anglia and then close, and Earl Soham Brewery move from Maurices's chicken shed to the garage and then to Debenham.  We're surprised there hasn't been more change in 26 years ... at the end of the month they move to the south coast.

Crack Street car park Stackton TresselThere's an area bounded by Wickham Market, Debenham and Halesworth known near the coast as the Wickden Triangle within which either something in the water or incipient dementia prompts bizarre council behaviour such as this sign in the Stackton Tressel Crack Street car park.

What an nice change to have some half way decent weather yesterday for Mouth to Mouth's production of the musical Godspell in the Debenham Angel's garden.  As

Mouth to Mouth's Godspell in Debenham

always quirky, original and highly entertaining we were particularly pleased to see a ukulele move from the pit to centre stage.  Mouth to Mouth's garden tour continues this coming weekend at Hoxne, Framlingham, Orford and Laxfield.
