Saturday Brandeston Hall marked it's 60th anniversary with a flypast from a Tiger Moth in the school colours, Peter Stewart the first boy over the threshold in 1948 and Michael Wright the first head boy planted a lime tree. The tree replaces a lime tree destroyed in the 1987 hurricane which was so popular with the children (it was easy to climb) they'd given it the nickname Basil Brush. | |

They just seem to have so much fun at Brandeston Hall. This time it was ghost stories by fire and candle light with storyteller Robert Lloyd Parry in period costume making a very convincing M R James. | |

The Eastern Angles take Cuckoo Teapot out on tour next week starting Wednesday and Thursday in Saxmundham. Over the next three months venues will include Eye, Brandeston, Bredfield, Westleton, Hacheston, Woodbridge and Orford. Take them in before the blue meanie Arts Council finish them off. | |

Us? We can't even hit the bloody thing so we were particularly impressed by 12 year old Kristian Williman (on the left) scoring over a hundred in his debut for Brandeston Hall.
